May Class - Mother's Day & Father's Day Cards

I have created 4 cards for this class, 2 Mother's Day cards and 2 Father's Day cards.  These cards will work great for Birthday Cards as well.  I will be having the card class on Friday, May 11th at 630pm.  Please let me know if you are going to attend this class by Tuesday, May 8th.  As usual, with my card classes, I will have all of the paper pre-cut, all you will have to do is stamp and glue everything together.  Cost is $20 for the 4 cards.  If you are unable to attend and would like a kit, please let me know, and I can have a kit prepared for you.

Door Prize

This is a quick post to show another picture frame I altered.  I gave it away as a door prize at the Pemberley Card Box class I held this past Friday.

Believe Scrapbook Layouts

As promised, here are the 3 - 2 page layouts I did for my Believe Scrapbook Group.   We used a lot of the Cricut Art Philosophy Collection for these layouts.  If you have a Cricut machine this cartridge is a must, you will be so happy with it.  You can create many 3D shapes like boxes and flowers, also many of the Close To My Heart stamp set images coordinate with this cartridge.  On many images, you no longer need to stamp the image and then cut it out, you cut it out first with the cartridge and then stamp your image onto the cut out from the Cricut.

Colton Baby Shower Banner

I held my sister and nephew, Colton's baby shower at my house today.  I didn't do much for decoration, but I did make this banner that I put on my fireplace mantle.  I thought it was something that my sister could take home and hang in Colton's bedroom.  I cut everything out using my Cricut Art Philosophy Collection.  I also used the Fanfare Level 2 Paper Packet which is retired now.

Typeset Scrapbook Layouts

Scrapbooking is how I got hooked on paper crafting, lately I seem to make more cards than scrapbook layouts, mostly because it's easier to complete a card in an hour, having 2 young children and a full time job makes it a little difficult to find time for scrapbooking. 

Last fall I held my first scrapbook group.  I designed 3 - 2 page layouts using the Typeset Level 2 Paper Packet.  I love how the layouts all came together.  I did use some of the layouts found in the How-To books, these books are being discontinued and are only available while Close To My Heart has stock.

I will post my layouts from the second scrapbook group I held in a few days.  We made Christmas layouts using the Believe Level 2 Paper Packet which is discontinued now.

Altered Wooden Picture Frames

A cute little "thank you" I like to make sometimes for a class or gathering is altered wooden picture frames.  You can get the frames from Michael's and then I just pick out which papers I would like to cover the frames with and then add embellishments.  I like to use Liquid Glass, which is a great adhesive, to glue down the paper, then I use the sanding kit to finish the edges of the paper to the frame.

I made these frames to give away as gifts/door prizes for my sister and nephew's baby shower.

Baby Girl Accordion Album

A friend of mine had a baby girl last month, and I wanted to make them a little album similar to the one I made for my nephew as a shower gift. I used the Lucy paper on the retired 9 x 9 Accordion Album which is currently available on the While Supplies Last section of my Close To My Heart website. I cut the flower embellishments out on my Cricut machine, using the Cricut Art Philosophy Collection. I really like how the Lucy paper turned out on this album, perfect for a baby girl.

I also made a matching baby girl card with the Lucy paper.
